March was full. I might have taken on slightly too much, then we planned a trip home for the last week. I had very little time to read. Now, though, my schedule seems to be back on track, and I’ve chosen a few books from my list of “to-reads” that I think I will dive into next.
Browse through and let me know what you think! Have you read any of these?
I’ve only just started, but Stephen R. Covey seems to know what he is talking about. It’s changing the way I view myself, others, and how our judgements and actions affect each other. I’m considering sharing some of the simple bits I’ve learned this far on my Instagram. Is anyone interested?
I’m on a real educational kick lately, so of course a book on leadership has to be on my upcoming list. From my understanding, Start with Why is all about inspiration. Inspired leaders inspire teams, colleagues, and customers. You have to know why you do something in order to do it well.
I think this one is interesting because I’m still working on adopting a creative lifestyle. I’m curious to see how others think, act, and how their habits affect their work. It’s a peek into the lives of the greats. There’s something to learn from how others move through their daily lives.
Timothy Ferriss interviewed more than 200 people to write this book. He focuses on the actionable details of his interviewees. How can we do things a little bit differently for huge results? He promises he’s even used a lot of these tactics himself—proven worthy of inclusion in this book.
No one know who was behind The Rumpus’s Dear Sugar advice column until Cheryl Strayed stepped forward to her sweet peas in 2012. I hear it’s about life, love, humour, and heartache, among other things. I’m looking forward to indulging on a Friday night.
