I find something about planes so romantic…
People exploring places they’ve never been; loved ones meeting after a long time away; travellers taking to the skies to escape routine or find themselves or learn to lean into discomfort. In the window seat, it feels like I’m alone, just me and the clouds.
We flew to South Carolina to visit family and tour the small town they live near. I fell asleep on the plane when we took off after a long night prepping and driving (we booked that 6am flight from Toronto!). I dreamt of where I’ve been and where I’m going. I dreamt of those who aren’t here anymore and those who aren’t here yet. My thoughts flying wild.
When we landed and reconnected to the real world, I found 3 pieces of good news in my inbox. The good news continued throughout my week of rest, hearing back about items that had been on hold or undecided yet. It’s all coming together.
I want you to know that wherever you are, you’re exactly where you need to be. Be good to yourself, friends, and keep dreaming.
Here’s a few of my favourite snaps from our trip to the south, mostly for my own enjoyment: reflections and memories to revisit later. Thanks for hanging out here with me.
