Well, it’s that time of year! Chaos/crunch time before the holidays. I’m wrapping up the final projects of 2019 and lining up new start dates for 2020… it’s a bit busy here at WBJ HQ.
In my earlier days in business, I’d probably only take Christmas Eve/Day off and would kick off the new year in desperate need of a long nap… I’ve learned my lesson since then though.
Here’s what I’m doing to prepare for taking plenty of time off for the holidays…
Yes, consistency is key, but it’s okay to ease off sometimes. This month you’re getting lots of personal snippets and stories on my social pages instead of so many writing and marketing tips.
I’m hitting the ground running in the new year with client work, new projects, and something BIG in the works, so I need to stay organized. I’m time blocking the month already so I can get straight to it after the break. No humming and hawing over what to do next!
Those of you who have been here a while know that I have a hard time resting. There’s so much I want to do! Officially, I’m checking out on Wednesday afternoon this week.
I’m a bit sneaky… in my “time off” this week I’ll be tying up loose ends for clients and that big stack of paperwork I’ve been ignoring. Then next week I can truly rest with a clear to-do list.
It’s a busy time for people booking new projects to match their 2020 goals. I am SO EXCITED for each and every person who trusts me with their business and can’t wait to help them bring their dreams to life! However, we have to set realistic expectations so we don’t all burnout by the end of January.
Just for fun, here’s a video I posted from our outing to choose a Christmas tree for the living room.
